    Additional information.

The already selected team will continue to support the United Nations
inspection activities through November 91. UNSCOM 14, 15, 16 are returning to
locations already visited that are clean and will not require EOD support.
UNSCOM 17 will require two American EOD for a trip to the "super gun". UNSC0M
18 will be a six week trip for four American EOD and two German EOD. This trip
will be to destroy several thousand rounds of Iraqi chemical weapons.

The team was very impressed with the CAMS used during the course of the
inspection. The chemical agent monitor system (NSN 6665-01-199-4153) is a
flight weight, one man, point monitor that can be used by forces to search out
clean areas, to search and locate contamination on personnel, equipment,
aircraft, land vehicles, ordnance, buildings, terrain, and to monitor the
effectiveness of decontamination. It has settings to monitor for either G or
agents. We found it extremely easy to use. Our RAF team member indicated that
all their EOD people have them as do the Germans. The unit has a G and H
confidence sample as well. Information from TM 3-6665-327-13&P is at
attachment 3. Highly recommend CAMS be added to the ESL for USAF EOD units.

All personnel were fairly impressed with the country and the people. We had no
hostility directed toward us, but also never told any one we were American. We
were directed to say only that we were from the United Nation. The Iraqi
Government knew though. While in the market place, we were identified as
Canadians and sometimes as from New Zealand. We all found out we don't do a
very good Kiwi accent. On several occasions we were told "we know you are
American and we like you very much, the people like you. Don't worry."

We found Iraqis well educated and spoke English very well with few exceptions

There are no SCUDS in the Suk in Baghdad.

    More adventures to follow.
