	Al Qaqa ammunition/explosive manufacturing facility.  The purpose
of this visit was to verify the destruction of two tons of supergun
propellant.  EOD team went with the workers to observe their destruction
metrhod.  They laid the propellant out on the ground and ran some smaller
propellant sticks out for a firing train.  We went to safe area and watched
them light the shot with a match.  The Iraqi had about 10 seconds to get clear
before the propellant lit off.  We were watching him with binoculars and he
seemed a bit worried.  This area mainly manufactures TNT and some propellant
We saw several FAB-500 bombs, rockets and other munitions in the area either
filled or waiting to be.  The Iraqi workers said that about 1500 bombs were
dropped on this area along with many cruise missile attacks.  On the way out
we saw three MK-82 bombs beside the road.  All fuzes and tail fins were
removed.

8 Oct 91:  Team inspected Jabil Hamryn, site of the operational 350mm
supergun.  Workers were still in the process of cutting the flanges and
mounting brackets.  The gun was positioned on the side of a hill mounted on
large concrete foundation.  One test projectile was found and destroyed.  The
projectile consisted of a ballistic nose section, a 148mm projectile body
(solid metal), four sabot sleeves, and a steel pusher plate.  The gun had been
fired only once according to Iraqi officials.  The team returned to Baghdad
and prepared equipment for departure in the morning.

9 Oct 91:  Team departed Baghdad for Habbanyia Air Base.  Team out processed
through Iraqi customs and departed at 1200.  Team arrived Bahrain at 1500.
Ssgt Hague remained in Baghdad to join with UNSCOM 17 (Chemical Weapons
Inspection)
