         SUBJECT:  '4.1@@h Infantr@- Division's Request for the Saudi Gazette


         1. As you l@now, ARCE@7T established 20 Au@ 9(,' as the cut-off date
         for tile processing of all new PRCs with the e---.ception of
         emergency or life support requirements.   The attached request was
         hand carried to the G4 on 21 Sep 90. Coordination with the G5
         and PAO revealed the following:

                 G5 - Gazette is a mildly censored paper

                PAO - Some concern over quantity and cost


         2.  The Division was informed that the PRC would '-e forwarded at
         the be-.inninz of the new FY in accordance with the current
         CENTCO,%[/ARCT---@T/Corps policy and end of year contract closeout.

         3.  The CG, 24th Inf DiN-, has seen fit to make this a command
         issue and wants the PRC processed now. I have contacted SUPCO@l's
         Chief of Staff aid discussed the issue.   He recommends that we
         put the issue into command channels if we want this action to
         take' precedence over other contracting working issues.

         4. Your assistance is needed in placing this issue in command
         channels if the chain of command wants to make this happen at
         this time.
