          MEMORANDUM FOR CO     ER, 1ST CORPS SUPPORT COMMAND

          SUBJECT: Turn-in and Retrograde of Unserviceable Repairables


          1. Enclosed is a listing of unserviceable major assemblies that
          are awaiting turn-in by the 782d Maintenance Battalion, 82d
          Airborne Division.

          2. Indications are that the list represents only the tip of the
          iceberg when it comes to unserviceable repairable turn-ins. The
          24th InfantrT Division (M) and 101st Airborne Division (AA) have
          also been ta@;ked to provide similar lists. Contact with the 24th
          Infantry Division (M) reveals that they currently have 15 to 20
          S & P loads of unserviceable turn-ins.

          3. Request that you advise this office when lst COSCOM will be
          prepared to accept these turn-ins, what facility has been
          designated as the turn-in point, and what procedures will be
          followed.
