              be complete within 72 hours and the tank Is expected to be
              evacuated within 96 hours.

                   f. KlAl NET continues with D/2-69 AR completing operators
              training. This completes 2-69 AR's operator training. A/1-64 AR
              conducts operator train up tomorrow. 23 personnel received
              training on DS operator maintenance.

                   g. 24th IDIMI Band played for 2-18 IN, 197th BDE, and 2-4
              CAV, 24th IDIKY. Both units enjoyed the Christmas melodies. The
              band continues their concert tour by playing at the Division Main
              Command Post tomorrow.

                   h. The let BDE, 24th IDTMI change of command is scheduled
              for 151000C DEC 90 at the lst BDE TOC. The out-going commander
              is COL Walter E. Mather Jr. The incoming commander Is COL John
              M. LeMoyne.

                   1. DREIFING TOPIC: The 2qth ID-[KL will receive an
              additional 120 phones tomorrow which will be located In the 197th
              BDE area. The system should be fully operational NLT 16 DEC 90,
              Approximately 2/3's of the phones will be allocated to non-
              divisional units In the surrounding area.

              2. U.S. - SAUDI COMBINED TRAINING: BRIEFING TOPICX
                  a. lst Co, 3rd On, 10th '@Eaand C/2-7 IN, lst BDE, 24th
              'ID-[MI did not train today as itwa Donso, the Saudi holy day,
              Tomorrow they will conduct vehicle maintenance and pre-combat
              inspections -CPCII in preparation for the CALFEX.

                  b. lst Otry, let FA Bn, 10th BDE combined training with
              1-41 FA On continues with CALFEX preparation.

               3. MAJOR SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES SUMMARY:




                        lst BDE - 2-7 IN conducts section gunnery @dryl. 3-7
              IN and K/3-3 RCT, 1 KARDIV conducts movement to contact and night
              attack as advance guard. 4-64 AR prepares MlIPs for turn in,
              movement drills and formations, and sagger drllls.

                        2nd ODE - 3-15 IN moves closes an AA Hinerville from
              Faisal range. 1-64 AR prepares MlIPs for turn in and acts as
              Corps ASP guard. TF 3-69 conducts preparation for MLIP turn-in
              and offensive operations.

                        197 BDE - 1-18 IN conducts platoon tactical training.
              2-18 IN receives concert from 24th IDIMI band. 2-69 AR   conducts
              MlAl NET/transition.

                        AVN BDE - HHC BDE conducts Combat Lifesa%  .X-Pr Course.
