        SUBJECT: Blood Policy

        1. A Blood Management Program has been developed +or the Division
        which is outlined in an SOP dated 16 December 1990, and
        consolidated in an information paper.

        2. Currently, the Division has no blood an hand. However, plans
        are being developed for placing 15 units of blood in each medical
        company for evaluation of all Division blood management systems.
        This is scheduled to be implemented by 4 January 1991. The goal is
        to have distributed 30 - 90 units oT blood per medical company
        depending on operational requirement by 13 January 1991.
