                     MEMORANDUM FOR Corps

                     SLJBJECT, Chemical Agent Monitor- (CAM) Distribution Plan



                          The Cl-ienii(-a' L-ent Monitor- (CAN) is capable of detecting
                     mustard and nerve agent vapor                      it is authorized down to and
                     including all company sized units.

                     2.  Before Corps' deployment, USAREUR provided 113 CAMs from nori-
                     deploying units.. These CAM-, are Currently in Logbase Alpha
                     awaiting distribution instructions.

                     3. Discussion with the 3AD Chemical Officer on '@ Jan 91
                     indicated that they may not have the 'L-otil 123 CAM's reported by
                     the USAREUR Force NOD office. Addition-=illy, most of the CAM's
                     they shipped Rre in the CbNE'A's or Sealand Vans. As a result
                     redistribution Would only be possible in late J n at best.

                     4. The following recommended distribution plan is based on an
                     assessment of each units' potential chemical threat and the
