             SUBJECT: CG Update, 301830 Jan 91


                 e. Corps Cdr to get eight (8) days notice prior to B-Day.
             Effort now in TAAs (i.e. training, sustainment, and @esting
             soldiers).


                 f. Want to see XVIII Airborne Corps graphics on map to see
             whole picture (SPO action).

                 g. Establishment of confinement facility near LBE and
             Dhahran.


                 h. FRAGOs sent out through comm center and E-Mail (SPO
             action).

                 i. Too many immediate precedence messages. Need to look at
             setting precedence to avoid backlog.

                 j. Engineer advice on bunkers +or pending jump is no
             overhead cover, trenches shoulder deep and 3 feet wide to avoid
             cave ins. Overhead cover not emphasized because of the type of
             threat weapons we'll be +acing.

                 k. Accidents on Tapline Road/MSR Dodge now primarily caused
             by CUCVS. HMMWVs and commercial vehicles passing convoys
             unsa+ely.

                 1. Military history detachment in the corps area. Will
             eventually get staff journals and orders, may be some interviews.

                 M. Base cluster moves. When the unit leaves, "everything"
             goes. Take sandbags full if trans assets available.

                 n. Fuel pods, 5,000 gal tankers and -Fuel cans will be full
             every night. No MOBAS in compound tonight (STB action).

                 0. Stolen vehicles, be attentive to where vehicles are and
             for how long. Ensure proper security (i.e. chains and padlocks).
             Pers action on memo to command.
