              7    The back up for failure to        warn FFMA un I ts by Pt at,foi g art is the
              VHF Guard Net. This facility          is an insecure radio net and is only
              to be used in an emergency (le; failure of Ptarmigan). Use of the
              VHF Guard Net on declaration of NBC HIGH and NBC BLACK will be
              automatic.


              S. The firing of Maroons is a last resort facility if all radio
              cornins fail. The signal given is 3 loud bangs/3 flashes of white
              light. Jr, such cases the Chemical Safety Rule should be applied
              and all personnel should go to Dress Category - 3 Romeo.

              9. FF14A units should be prepared to forward NBC I reports to the
              FFMA NBC Ce II upon chern 1 c a I contam i nat ion be! ng c ant! rcoed .

              10. The FFMA NBC Cell will forward NBC 2/3 reports to FFMA units
              upon confirmation of a chemical hazard.

              11. Further advice on contamination control will be forwarded by
              the FFMA NBC Cell as appropriate.

              COMMUNICATIOUS

              13. As described NBC Warning and Reporting will be initiated by
              Ptarmigan Conference Call. In the event of Ptarmigan being
              unoperative a VHF Guard Net will be used.

              14. With the number of FFMA units requiring access to the NBC
              Conference CaL I I a cascade system to minor units is necessary.               The

              15. The  FFMA NBC Cell will      issue VHF Guard Net frequencies as
              released by Comms Ops, on routine NBC Ptarmigan Conference Calls.

              16. All stations on the NBC VHF Guard Net should use frequency Ft
              unless otherwise directed.
