            A. FMA OPO Annex E.


            GENERAL

            1. This Annex details the resr-orisibilities of the FFMA NBC Cell and
            the system of NBC Warning and Reporting to be applied by all FFIIA
            units.


            NBC-CELL-RESPONSIBILITIES

            2.  The FFMA NBC Cell will undertake the fof tasks:


                a.  Advise Comd FMA on all NBC op matters.

                b.  Provide all NBC warning -arid reporting for FFMA urits.

                C.  t4oroitor -all NBC contamination in FF@IA areas of operation.

                d.  Pass information and updates on al I NBC activity to FFMA
                units (on a routine basis).

                e. Advise all FFMA units on NBC op, trg and equip matters.

            NBC-ALERTS

            3. Details of the various levels of NBC alerts can be found in
            Reference A.

            4. In all cases the FFMA NBC Cell will !reform FFMA units of the
            current NBC threat state including in - theatre changes.

            5. Unit comds will also be advised by the FFMA NBC Cell of the
            appropriate Dress Category to adopt in relation to the specific NBC
            threat at that point of time.

            NBC_WARt,]ING

            6. NBC warning for FFMA units is facilitated by a 3 tier systerik
            designed to offer a back-up if one option does not work. TI)e
            systems are as fols:
