Rafha DC Camp, while both mech rifle companies continue fatigue
ails in support of the effort to complete the Rafha N refugee
processing point. Both infantry companies are providing reaction
forces for Rafha Airfield and Rafha N DC Camp. An Apache section
conducted a show of presence mission vicinity Rafha I in Iraq today!

PART 2. Plans Summary. 2AD(F) continues DC camp security
mission and continues processing refugees from Rafha N DC camp and
Safwan DC camp. The TF continues operations at the processing
center at Rafha Airfield and Rafha I. The TF will continue with one
infantry fatigue detail to assist Saudis erecting tents at Rafha
II. The main body will concentrate on finishing containers and the
Camp HOW closeout. Advance party moves to KKMC tomorrow to fly on 7
May. Expect to have all but the trail party gone by 9 May.

        PART 3. (8) Commander's Concerns: None.

PART 4. Commander's Assessment: Task Force Rafha received
approximately 1800 refugees from Safwan on 5 May. Reportedly, 850
remain at Safwan. We will complete movement on 6 May, and close
Rafha III on 7 May, and Rafha I on 8 and 9 May. Expect the formal
turnover and end of mission at 1500 on 9 May. I will submit the
task force dissolution plan by separate message. The guard towers
were redirected to KKMC, and subsequently received authorization to
destroy them and did so. I had requested they be turned off on 4
May; however, that didn't happen. There was no intent to violate
@--ps directives. All is on track. It is great work done by great
diers. I submitted the Humanitarian Service Award recommendation
.VL the task force to your headquarters at 1500 on 5 May. Request
expeditious processing of the packet. The 793d MP BN (-) completed
pills, which were antibacterial, as a result of EPW
involvement and not related to the Rafha effort. I presented Combat
Infantryman's Badges to soldiers from the 1-41 IN BN on this date!
        Hell on Wheels!

POC this headquarters is MAJ Suslowicz at 9-709-7730-636/637.

        Released by LTC Ancker, G-3.
