           ANNEX A (MOVEMENT) TO VII CORPS DESERT SHIELD OPERATIONS ORDER 2-
           90

           (U) References: See basic order

           (U) Time Zone Used Throughout the Annex: LOCAL

           1. a.         This annex provides instructions and procedures for
           movement of personnel and equipment by Military Airlift Command
           (MA,C) or by self deployment.

               b.           Departure airfields are:

                     1)          Ramstein AFB for deploying aircraft.

                     2) kZ,INF,) Rhein-main AFB for personnel, equipment and
           Class I, III, V, and  IX.

           2.        Concept of operations: Movement is conducted in three
           phases.

               a.        Phase 1: 0/0 deploying units prepare vehicles and
           cargo at home station for strategic air deployment and conduct
           pre-iaspections IAW U.S. Army/U.S. Air Force Joint Inspection
           (JI) criteria.

               b.        Phase II: 0/0 move deploying personnel, vehicles
           and cargo over controlled routes to the departure airfield.
           Aircraft self deploy to departure airfields and conduct pre-JI.
           Upon arrival at the departure airfield the deploying unit becomes
           OPCON for deployment to the VII Corps Departure Airfield
           Coordinating Group (DACG).

               C.           Phase III: 0/0 the DACG, in coordination with
           the aerial port or airlift control element at the departure
           airfields, processes deploying units for air movement and turns
           over prepared chalks to the USAF for movement to Saudi Arabia.

           3. (U) TASKS TO SUBORDINATE UNITS:

               a.        2d COSCOM:

                   1)        Provide Departure Airfield Control Groups (DACG)
           for VII Corps units.

                   2)        Coordinate directly with supporting Airlift
ement (ALCE).

               b.        DACG

                   1)        Establish marshalling areas and life support at
           the departure airfield.
