Cdr' Comments: The 307TH EN BN is preparing engineer plans to support OPLAN
15-90. The 307TH needs heavy equipment if it is to complete it's GDP mission; a
proposal to remedy this situation has gone forward to XVIII Airborne Corp. A
short term solution is being implemented at division level. In order to delay
the enemy the 307TH needs a minimum of 75,000 mines and extensive haul assets,
Corp must get involved with fixing the mine shortage. The severe shortage of
Class IV material is also troublesome. The shortage limits our ability to build
survivability positions. Local contractors may help alleviate the Class rv
shortage initially, but the long term fix is getting Army supplies an hand. We
are also critically short on maps.
