         b. The well is suspected to have provided water to the
natural gas plant. The gas plant is a big consumer of water and
has an extensive water distribution system. The damaged pump is
   a GARVENSWERKE W'MIN, rated at 25 meters cube/ hour, 150 meter
   head, 22kW, 3400 U/min, immsquare/s, lkg/dmcube at 'QO degree
   Centigrade.

         C. If VII Corps must put in a pump, it is recommended that
'the pump be installed at this location. It is a proven wall site
that must have at one time provided water to the pump sta'u-lon.

         d. There is an extensive amount of water trailers, pump
(electrical and gas driven) and cisterns @'i-i 'the natural gas
   plant.

   7. On 31 Marcj'l, MSU' Dunn escorted us out to the exitinq @@ACR
water site in 1 Armor D-lv-ls-lon sector (PU'@80590@@91. The Support
Squadron was drawing water with ROWPU from a pit that was
full of salt brine from an artesian aquifer. The Squadron
inherited 'the site from 'the 82 Airborne Division. The site
   provided l@50,000 gal-ions of water.

Et. The ROWPU operators were unable 'a provide water because
the salt content was too hi-oh (49,000 ppml and 'he machine which
is rated at '@00 gpii could not produce a single gallon. The unit
also needed spare parts which are on order.
The site was determined to be unsuitable.

   S. From the salt pit, we went to a large quarry that is located
near the support squadron. n the quarry, we found 'he washing
and sand screen unit, and traced the water pipe from the unit '@o
its origin. The pipe line is a 4" diameter pipe, 'that goes from
quarry through the town of Jawarin to a pump station on an
irrigation ditch (PV340105). The ditch is feeu' from 'the
Euphra'ues River and it has enough water to satisfy 'the Regiments
   needs.

n route to the pumn we crossed another irrigation
ditch. This ditch also has an extensive amount of water and
could be used as a water source.

ing with a pump was found on an 175 degree
azimuth, 2 kilometers from the RI@OC CP 'PU@.4429984). The
has a pump and needs an electric motor, generator and a water
b.ig. This is a shallow well and an old well, -it should have
plenty a+ water because of the recent rainfall and the lack of
recant use. It appears to been dismantled as part of a denial
   operations.
