          MEMORANDUM FOR SEE DISTRIBUTION

          SUBJECT: MINUTES OF 2000, 28 OCT, COMMAND AND STAFF BRIEFING

          1. The 28 Oct Command and Staff Briefing convened at 2000
          hours. All MSC'S, Separate Bns, primary staff and battle
          staff were present.

          2. The meeting was chaired by the Chief of Staff.

          3. Major   points of interest were:

               G3 -  101ST AASLT no change

                   - 3D ACR - Continues to train on individual and some
                     collective tasks at squadron level

                   - 1ST MARINES - No change to current activities

                   - 82D AEN - Sultan IMnge renamed Ali   Range. Division
                     will conduct Arty lfve fire 29 Oct

                   - LRSD cross-training with USMC

            Saudi weapons to be used during CALFEX -Following systems
            will fire during CALFEX: M113, M60AI's, 4.2 mortar and
            TOW's

                   - B Co 3-15 IN picks up guard mission

                   - 299th Engr Bn closed into 197tb AO

                   - 197th - COMMEX begins 29 Oct

                   - MGO 49 published - Announces possible poisoning
                     of British water supply

                   - FRAGO 50 published - Announces CSS units moving
                     into sector

                   - 29 Oct Emir visits

                   - 30 Oct CENTCOM J5 Vtsit

               02 -  Iraqils could use women dressed in Saudi Arabian
                     dress to help smuggle
                   - Iraq does have collection capability that can reach
                     into our AO. Avoid the hours of 0630-1230L when
                     their birds are up

                   - All HETS observed the last previous days are gone.
