        SUBJECT: Out of DAMPL Sequence Procurement

        1. Request highest DAMPL possible in order to expedite the
        procurement of the newly fielded Contact Maintenance Vehicle, LIN
        S3@982, NSN 4940-01-209-8824. Three each are required to fill
        shortages in the 82d Airborne Division.

        2. Requisitions exist for the older version of the maintenance
        vehicle with an unacceptable estimated shipping date (ESD) of 3306.
        Document numbers are as follows: W81LMS 0300-1001 lea, W3601M 7020-
        5075 2ea. Current BM status Is as of 0249.

        3. These Contact Maintenance Vehicles are critical to the engineer
        battalion to assist in conducting on-site maintenance of its
        equipment. Without an immediate fill of the above mentioned items,
        readiness will continue to be degraded. This Division is critically
        short maintenance equipment for our engineer battalion.

        4. POC is MSG Randol, G4 Materiel, #9-7616-114/104.
