             1. -48) OPERATIONS SUMMARY.
                 A. (9) CORPS OVERVIEW:
                      (1)       VII CORPS CONTINUES THE ATTACK TO DESTROY THE
             RGFC FORCES IN ZONE. AT 0600C 2ACR BEGAN SCREEN IN ZONE MOVING
             TO PL SMASH WITH 3AD FOLLOWING. 3AD CAPTURED 70 EPW'S IN SECTOR.
             AT 1250C 2ACR REPORTED CONTACT WITH ENEMY ARMOR PT 5194.
             REGIMENT ENGAGED ELEMENTS OF THE TAWAKALNA AND BOTH BDE/12AD AND
             BASICALLY RENDERED 50TH BDE INEFFECTIVE. 1,217 EPW'S WERE
             CAPTURED BY 2ACR. 1AD BEGAN ATTACK IN ZONE AT 0815C TO DESTROY
             ENEMY VICINITY AL BUSAYYAH (PUO834). DIVISION DESTROYED TWENTY
             SIX ARMORED VEHICLES, OVERRAN A BDE SIZE COMMAND POST, AND
             CAPTURED 500 EPW'S. IID ATTACKED BMNT TO SECURE BREACH HEAD LINE
             FOR PASSAGE OF l(UK)AD. DURING THE ATTACK IID OVERRAN AND
             CAPTURED TWO BDE COMMAND POSTS AND THE COMMAND POST OF THE 26TH
             INF DIV, TO INCLUDE A BRIGADE COMMANDER AND A BRIGADIER GENERAL,
             WITH HIS COMPLETE STAFF. DIVISION DESTROYED AT LEAST TWO
             ARTILLERY BTRY'S. NUMEROUS MORTAR PLT-S, KILLED MANY DISMOUNTED
             INFANTRY, AND CAPTURED 871 EPW'S. A COMPLEX BUMXER SYSTEM, WITH
             UNDERGROUND STORES OF RPO'S, ARTILLERY ROUNDS, MORTAR ROUNDS AND
             SMALL ARMS WAS ALSO DESTROYED. THE 26TH INP DIV HAS BEEN
             DESTROYED. AT 1200C IID WAS SET ON BREACH HEAD LINE AND L(UK)AD
             BEGAN PASSAGE. BY ISOOC L(UK)AD HAD SUCCESSFULLY CLEARED 7TH
             ARMD BDE THROUGH THE BREACH AND EXPECTED TO COMPLETE PASSAGE OF
             THE 4TH BDE BY 2400C. 42ND AND 75TH FA BDE'S HAVE LINKED UP WITH
             3AD AND 1AD RESPECTIVELY. LIGHT RESISTANCE RECEIVED THROUGHOUT
TPOSTS AND
             SPORADIC INDIRECT FIRES.
                      (2) 48) CORPS ENVELOPMENT HAS CONTINUED AHEAD OF
             SCHEDULE. UNITS ARE IN HASTY DEFENSIVE POSITIONS PREPARING TO
             CONTINUE ATTACK BMNT 27 FEB. CURRENTLY IAD IS SOUTHWEST OF PL
             SMASH AND WILL CONTINUE ATTACK AT 270800C IN SECTOR WITH LIMIT OF
             ADVANCE PL TANGERINE. 3AD IS FOLLOWING 2ACR WITH LEAD 3AD BDE AT
             NU 1905. DIVISION WILL PASS THROUGH 2ACR AND ATTACK THROUGH
             OBJECTIVE COLLINS WITH LIMIT OF ADVANCE PL TANGERINE. 2ACR WILL
             REMAIN IN HASTY DEFENSE TONIGHT, WITH SCREEN 7-10 KM NORTH OF PL
             SMASH, AND SHIFT TO SOUTHEAST TO FIX TAWAKALKA DIVISION BY FIRES
             AT FIRST LIGHT. L(UK)AD WILL CONTINUE ATTACK EAST IN SECTOR TO
             OBJECTIVE WATERLOO. 1ID WILL LEAVE ONE BN TF AT BREACH SITE AND
             WILL MOVE TO A CORPS ASSEMBLY AREA AND BE PREPARED TO CONDUCT
             PASSAGE OF LINES WITH 2ACR IN SECTOR TO DESTROY THE TAWAKALNA
             DIVISION.
                      (3) -fS) PROBABLE COURSES OF ACTION FOR IRAQI FORCES IN
             SECTOR: IRAQI FORCES HAVE SET UP BLOCXING POSITIONS ALONG PL
             SMASH. ONE BDE OF THE TAWAKALNA AND 37TH BDE/12AD HAVE MOVED
             INTO BLOCKING POSITIONS. 50TH BDE/12AD MAY HAVE MOVED NORTH TO
             SET UP AN ADDITIONAL BLOCKING POSITION. NO MOVEMENT OUT OF THE
             MADINAH OR HAMURABI SECTORS HAS BEEN NOTED. THE TAWAKALNA AND
             12AD WILL CONTINUE TO FIGHT TO MAINTAIN THEIR BLOCKING POSITIONS
             AND POSSIBLY CONDUCT COUNTERATTACXS WITH THE 52ND AND 17TH
             ARMORED BDE'S. OTHER MOBILE RESERVES WILL LIKELY CONDUCT
             REPOSITIONING TO ENHANCE THEIR DEFENSIVE POSTURE IN REACTION TO
             THE SWIFT POSITIONAL ADVANTAGE GAINED BY VII CORPS FORCES. IRAQI
