           5. (U) OBSERVATION: There are too many different combat tracked
           vehicles in a M109 direct support battalion.

           6. (U) DISCUSSION: The M577, M548, and M109 all have different
           components. These different chassis cause logistic problems for
           the unit.

           7. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Put the CATV, M109, and Command Post
           Vehicle into the direct support battalion.   All of these
           vehicles have the same chassis.
