           4. (U) TITLE: COUNTERMOBILITY

           5. (U) OBSERVATION: The problems in countermobility are moot at
           this point. They were few in number but could have been
           significant in effect.

           6. (U) LESSON L    ED:
           1) GEMSS were promised, but not delivered. The trailers
           probably would not have survived the cross-country movement
           forward.

           2) Sufficient class IV / V materials would not have been
           available or delivered had the iragis presented a credible
           threat.

           3) Engineer units were not capable of carrying required class
           IV / V and the XVIII Abn Corps did not have the assets available
           to "push" forward on a timely basis.
