          5. (U) OBSERVATION: The technology exists for the Army to
          procure individual soldier chemical agent alarms.

          6. (U) DISCUSSION: The size of each of these alarms is the size
          of a pack of cigarettes or smaller. Such alarms would
          measurably improve the preparedness of the 24 ID and other units
          to operate in a chemically threatened environment.

          8. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Request DA level action to procure
          an individual chemical agent alarm.
