          S. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Reorganization of military police
          assets within the Army to assign both an organic military
          police company and a TO&E 19-77 (Combat MP Company) to each
          division would seem the most viable option. While direct
          support would remain with the organic MP's, the 19-77 company
          would establish an investigations section, a military police
          desk, rear battle support operations, and conduct enemy prisoner
          of war operations at the division central collection point.

          9. (U) COMMENTS: Realignment of the force structure seems to be
          the logical answer to placing the MP's where they can best be
          employed. It takes at least two companies to support the
          division in peacetime for law enforcement and in wartime the
          various missions which are routinely assigned.
