           ground cover for MOPP gear exchange operations    in a contaminated environment,.
           as well as ground and overhead cover@lat the entryway to collective protection
           shelters..


               b. The N13C-PC  is issued, to, used by, and maintained by combat, combat
           support, and combat service support units in all geographic operational areas
           of interest, to include land combat and,'amphibious landings/assault
           operations. Each section of the NBC-PC may be emplaced by two soldiers and
           either tied down on each corner with standard 3/8th inch line or erected an
           pales from the camouflage support..system or tent.,

               c. Adding additional covers,will increase     protection time by a factor  of
           24 hours. In other words, one cover equals 24     hours of protection, two covers
           over the same item equals 48 hours, three cover,$ equals 72 hours ... etc.

               d. After a chemical or   suspected biological  attack or after the
           completion of fallout, check the N,BC-PC to determine whether or not it is
           contaminated. If the NBC-PC   is contaminated, remove the'cover within 24
