         AATNEX B (NBC) TO OPLAN 416E-003

          c. Coordinating Instructions:
                     (.Z). NBC Warning System - Each subordinate element will
         coordinate with supporting ASGIASB for linkage to NBC Warning
         systems. Chemical downwind massages will be rocioved from
         supporting ASGIASB or adjacent units. ARCENT is delivering
         chemical downwind messages to ASGIASB and manuever units in
         geographical areas. This headquarters and the ASGIASB will both
         recieve any required NBC reports.

                     (2). Operational Exposure Guidance:
                          (a). Nuclear: Neg.Zible risk criteria authorized
                          (b). Chemical: Neg2igiblo risk to warned personnel
         with chemical defense equipment (CDE) is authorized; emergency risk
         to unwarned personnel without CDE is unauthorized.

                     (3). Troop Safety Criteria:
                          (a). Nuclear: Negligible risk to unwarnod, exposed
         personnel.
                          (b). Chemical: Neglibible risk to warned personnel
         with CDE.

                     (4). HOPP level guidance will be the decision of
         battalionlcompany-level commanders.

                     (5). Hasty decontamination sites will be located as far
         forward as possible to prevent the spread of contamination.

                     (6). BrigadelBattalion chemical officers will select
         primary and alternate deliberate decontamination sites in
         conjunction with FWD SPT BN reconstitution plans for contaminated
         units. A deliberate decontamination will only be accomplished as
         an exception to policy and after obtaining approval from ARCENT.

                     (7). Coordination will be made with the 416th ENCOM for
         deliberate decontamination site control,, waterlfire hydrant use,
weather
         conditions.

                     (8). Resupply of nerve agent anti-dote will be
         accomplished by coordinating with supporting medical units. This
         Is a class VXXI supply action.

                     (9). Upon request by alliedlfriendly forces, NBC defense
         equipment may be provided through security assistance channels.

         4. SERVXCE SUPPORT:
          a. Service Support: Annex C, OPLAN 416 E-003.

          b. Resupply points for class 11 decontamination supplies (BDO's.
         DS2, etc,) will be located at deliberate decontamination sites.
