                By 2200 an order has been issuect to conduct a deliberate attack on the

          enemy' position. The task force                 wil.1 bound forward        with one platoon while

          the rest of the task force overwatches. Then the center Tank Company will

          bound up even with the platoon followed by the rest of the task force.

          Each of these three phase bounds will be preceded by an artillery prep.

                The first bound goes well, except for a navigational error which

          requires       a turning movement over the next bounds. MIAI tanks are

          destroying enemy vehicles and engaging dismounts with amazing accuracy and

          devastating effect- past maximum ranges of the weapon systems.

                The 'artillery prep that precedes the second bound is fired with

          catastrophic effects. Short round -of DPICM impact an the task force

          killing SGT Dillon, a Fire Support NCO.

                The attack continues over the next two bounds as the

          continues to destroy everything in its collective thermal sig
