            February 25:

            At 0620 we were notified thtt Forward Arex F4t-fLtelinq Point (For@F')
            Acura was open. We were the lead company in rotation At that time.
            We received the mission to bounce the guns to Acura and send -the
            scouts on a screen. The scouts were to screen the division right
            flank, vicinity Phase Line (PL) "Rust" and PL "Bud" and link up with
            4/7 Cavalry Squadron. And, if possible, link up with thee 2nd Armored
            Cavalry Regiment (ACR) trail elements as well. We were to keep the
            sectors observed if there were any gapLsr,:The conduct of that mission
            lasted 4 to 6 hours. My scout platoon leader, ILT Mike Warnicke,
            came upon the first group of EPOWs in the area that Battalion would
            find.  Actually herded up approximately 10 of them Rnd handed them
            of7f to lst Brigade ground elements.

            During this time, we continued to move north along Axis Liberty.
            Battalion rotation, Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie of 2/227th and Alpha
            5/229th Attack   Helicopter Companies, jumped out of FARP Acura and w(-@
            linked up with   the 4/7th Cavalry Squadron (CAV) at their FARP called
