              SUBJECT: Input for the ARCENT SITREP

              1. (U) Request inclusion of the enclosed in the next ARCENT
              SITREP. The following is a brief explanation of the requirement:

                  a.        The 513th MI Bde's Foreign Material Intelligence
              Battalion has an immediate requirement to augment the existing ten
              person US Army Technical Escort (TEU) Detachment by one (1)
              individual. This individual is required to help form an
              additional escort team needed to transport chemical/biological
              c
              samples from the recently opened US Army Medical Laboratory at
              KKMC to Daharan with final destination to CONUS based labs.
              Escort of chemical/biological samples requires two personnel and
              only one TEU person is currently available for this mission.

                  b.        In addition, twenty (20) Single Round Containers
              (SRCS) are also required. These containers have just received
              final DOT certification for the transportation of Class A poisons
              and are required to transport suspect chemical/biological agent
              samples from the Theater to the US for analysis as part of the
              chemical/biological sampling mission. These containers will be
              used to overpack the chemical/biological samples during transport.

                  c.        Each of the SRCs weigh approximately seventy (70)
              pounds and occupy approximately 1.2 cubic feet. Request movement
              of the SRCs from Dover, AFB to Daharan, Saudi Arabia coincident
              with the movement of the US Army Technical Escort Unit individual.
