                SUBJECT: chemical Defense Equipment (U)
                3.. NJ  Attached is the briefing charts that were used for the
                Joint Services Committee for CDE.       There are some notes on the
                charts.
                Some of the primary questions that have come up on the count of
                your overgarments are:
                       a. @   When they say they have two sets per soldier is that
                to inean.that they are wearing one and carrying the other?
                       b.@    Have all the soldiers changed out of the overgarment
                they opened   on C-day?    If they have, how does this affect the
                counts?
                       c.*N     Does having two sets also mean the associated
                booties, gloves, helmet cover and filters for a complete change
                Out?
                2.@ We are trying to expedite the shipments of the IM.               The
                charts give the latest arrival dates. We are trying to move then
                up to a much earlier date.
                3 N    Are you experiencing any problems with the M12s? XVII ABN
                c@rps sitrep identified some problems.       Also, identified 7k BA
                3517 and 4300 power cables for the M8AI as short. Does this mean
                they do not have batteries to run the alarm or are these
                additional batteries needed for ASL?

                given a expeditious action.
