            4. -(U]- TITLE: MILITARY POLICE COMMUNICATIONS
            5(@    OBSERVATION: Military Police are required to operate over
            extended lines of communications yet they lack the ability to
            communicate throughout their Area of Responsibility -CAORI.

            4L)@  DISCUSSION: Military Police units operate throughout the
            width and depth of the Division Area of Responsibility -CAORI yet
            are severely limited in their communications ability. The
            AN/VRC 46 radio and RC 292 antenna -CMTOE equipments offer a
            limited communication range. To best support battlefield
            circulation control, area security and rear operations, MPs must
            be capable of communicating over extended locations.
            7.(@ LESSON LEARNED: Military Police relay teams are manpower
            intensive. Equipment capabilities must be commensurate with
            assigned missions.

            capable of communicating over extended distances,
