    B. USING A COTTON TIPPED APPLICATOR, (NSN 6515-oo-ae3-s25e)
    MOISTENED IN ALCOHOL (NSN 6505-00-655-8366) THOROUGHLY CLEAN THE




    PASE 02 RUWJHRA1090 UNCLAS
    OUTLET VALVE SURFACES AND VALVE SEAL OF ANY DUST, DIRT OR SAND.
    C. WITH THE MASK PROPERLY FITTED ON THE FACE, INHALE AND HOLD YOUR
    BREATH FOR 10-15 SECONDS. AT THE SAME TIME WHILE THE MASK 18
    COLLAPSED ON YOUR FACE, VERIFY SEAL WITH APPLICATOR DIPPED IN N-AMYL
    ACETATE (BANANA OIL) (NSN 6810-00-123-7047) BY MOVING THE APPLICATOR
    AROUND THE OUTLET VALVE AREA.
    D.  IF AN AIR LEAK OR BANANA SCENT IS DETECTED, DO THE FOLLOWING:
    1)  REMOVE AND DISCARD THE OUTLET VALVE.
    2)  CLOSELY INSPECT AND CLEAN AND INSERT A NEW OUTLET VALVE.
    3)  RETEST AND VALIDATE AS BEFORE (PARA 2C).
    4)  IN THE EVENT THAT THE REPLACEMENT VALVE STILL DOES NOT PROVIDE A
    SEAL, TURN THE MASK IN FOR REPLACEMENT.
