OPERATIONS ORDER 00
(3) (U) Immediate. Patient condition demands immediate
resucitative treatment. Highest priority for treatment. Procedures
used will be kept short in duration and economical in terms of
medical resources. These patients will be treated at the 144th Evac
Hos (KKIA) to facilitate evacuation from the theater. Primary means
of evacuation will be by air ambulance from Al-Eskan Village to
KKIA. Then ground ambulance from the landing pad to the hospital.
(4) (U) Expectant. Patient injuries are so extensive that
probability of survival is minimal. These patients will be given
symptomatic and supportive treatment until the medical workload
permits more extensive care on their behalf.
4. (U) Evacuation.
a. (U) Upon determination by the Clearing Company (and Dental
Det if applicable) of need and urgency of evacuation, air or ground
ambulances will be utilized as the situation dictates. Supported
unit transportation assets will transport patients to medical
treatment facilities when there are insufficient medical assets.
manpower obtained from supported units will be tasked to perform
purely mechanical - repetitive tasks (i.e., litter bearing, driving
vehicles).
b. (U) TWO platoons of the 134th Med Co (24 ground ambulances)
will be dediacated for graound evacuation within/froM Al-Eskan
village. one platoon of the 134th Med Co (12 ground ambulances) will
be in place at the King Khalid International Airport for evacuaition
from air ambulance to the 144th Evac Hos. Strip maps to the 144th
Evac Hos are available at the 244th Med Gp MRO office.
C. (U) The 336th Med Det (RA) (6 air ambulances) will evacuate
ed helipad or expedient
site primarly to the 144th Evac Hos at KKIA. The second hospital
will be the 50th Gen HOS located at Al Kharj Military Hospital which
has a rooftop helipad.
d. (U) Deceased personnel (remains) will not be transported by
medical assets unless they expire enroute.
5. (U) Medical Regulating.
a. All evacuated casualties will be tagged with DD Form 602
(patient evacuation tag) which will contain patient data and the
primary diagnosis. Mass Casualty will be marked in red across the
top of the tag.
b. (U) During the periood of heavy casualty flow, the attending
physician must account for all patients treated and report them to
the facility PAD. These patients will be back regualted by the PAD
when the flow permits. A contingency regulating format will be
utilized during a mass casualty situation. Patients will be reported
in three catergories. Ss-surgical, MM-medical, MP-psychiatric.
