             SUBJECT: TRAINING/OFEIZATION HIGHLIGHTS ;OR WEEK (10-16 FEB tili

             1. Mass casualty exercise tlli) (10 FEB 91)
                      Scenario-Terrorist bomb at Desert Sands Mess Hall
             tB-5-10).     Communication with MP's. triage, medical management
             and command and control procedures were exercised. Elements ot
             all subordinate units (less the 144th Evac) participated in
             accordance with Mascal Flan.           Strengths and weaknesses were
             identified.     Future exercise scheduled for 20 February and will
             IivveLvef twice the number of casualties as in previous exercises.

             2. "A" vaccine team-Eskan
                      @@17th provided      physician, nurses and          6 t3lB's      to
             administer vaccinations to Eskan Village personnel at A-1-ii.
             This operation    ran from    11 February    and concluded 15      February
             i99l. Almost 1400 shots      were giveni

             3. A vaccine team-Fanther Base
                      -'!-ith provided physician. nurse to the 30ISt Area SuppL)rt
             Group to administer vaccinations at Thumama.               l@'4rh provided
             medical assistance and transportation.

             4. Combat lifesaver course
                      -44th provided         Preventive Medicine Ofticer, Chiet
             Nurse and 2 91A's. the 316th provided a physician and the 2ittti
             provided 4 nurses to teach the Combat Life Savers Course at KKMC.
             Over @100 individuals received this training.
   5. Ciiemcai Casualty Decontamination site (ccds)
                      -'44th NBC --ection coordinated the            training ot
             perso-ne:   from all subordinate units at        Riyadh South           reo.
             Trair.int, included    triage, emergency     treatment, decontamination
             and clean treatment     oz chemical casualties.       AA reports indicate
             the need for continual training and future exercise.

             6. 144th Evac (DEPMEDS)
                      144ti, became operational this week and reported a totai
             of 3-'C, available beds. A mascal exercise was conducted on t@ Feb
             arid inv-@lved   the 947th    Clearing Company     a--sets and   the 134th
             Ambulance Company.

             7. Litter training
                      The 92nd Medical Battalion coordinated litter training by
             the  134th   personnel    to   subordinate unit     hospital     personnel.
