          MEMORANDUM FOR: Commander 244th Medical Group

          SUBJECT: Training/operation Highlights for Week(17-23 Feb 91)

          1. 50th General Hospital.
          Conducted a ACLS course 21-22 February 1991.
          Litter team training for ground and air ambulance.
          NBC training included patient decon and chemical detection.

          2. 134th Amb Med Company.
          Conducted load and unload procedures on ground ambulance from
          316th and 382nd. Received classes on load and unload procedures
          and inflight medical care from 336th air ambulance personnel.
          Route recons were driven to 217th King Faisal special hospital
          by all ambulance crews.

          3. 217th Evac Hospital.
          Perform both individual and patient decontamination and other
          NBC common tasks.
          Nurses and medical personnel did critical care classes to
          include ACLS.

          4. 316th Station Hospital.
          Litter team training conducted by 134th Amb co. decontamination
          team training at SANG Hospital.

          5. 382nd Field Hospital.
          32 unit members received litter team training of ground and
          Air Ambulance.
          Reviewed care of chemical casualties.(SANG)

          6. 144th Evacuation Hospital.
          Internal MASCAL involved patient flow within the hospital,
          utilizing all sections involved in patient triage,4dmittance,
          treatment. Continued establishment and improvement of the
          hospital and patient decontamination site.

          7. 336th Med Det (RA).
          Night vision goggle training,readiness level progression.
 Hospital.
          Respirator training for transportation of patients with
          382nd Field Hospital.

          8. All of the above units participated in MASCAL exercise
          conducted on 20 Feb 91 and lessons learned from this exercise
          are being applied to training.
