          Daily SITREP 7th Engineer Brigade

          TO: VII Corps G-3 (OPS)

          1. Daily Commander SITREP:

              a. Situation: Engineers are now focusing on MSR maintenance
          and destruction of Iraqi equipment and supplies. We are planning
          for movement back to RAA9. 7th Engineer Brigade has operated
          equipment in theater on an extensive basis since the first week
          in December 1990. There has been no let-up, operations continue.

          Have directed specific maintenance actions in preparation for
          redeployment. Expect OR rate to initially +all significantly.
          It will inprove over time. Brigade is currently maintaining over
          1000 km of MSRs in Corps sector. Assumption of XVII Airborne
          Corps sector will stress assets but feel we can accomplish
          mission. Combat engineers battalions continue demolition
          mission, combat heavy maintain MSRS. Divisions should utilize
          organic engineer assets for work in their sector. Plan on
          connecting VII Corps MSRs with XVIII Corps MSRs VIC AA VIRGINIA.
