            1.  SITUATION: No change.

            2.  MISSION: 176th Engineer Group cestroys two Iraqi airfields
            NLT 082400C Mar 91.


            3.  EXECUTION:


                a. Concept of Operation: 176tli Engineer Group denies enemy
            use of two Iraqi airfields , located at PU 4752 and PU 7360.
            Destroy air-Fields to deny use by enemy fixed wing aircraft.

                b. Coordinating Instructions:

                    (1) 7th Engr Bde aerial recon of the sites an 7 Mar 91
            confirmed that there were no buildings, electrical or fuel
            distribution systems at the airfields.

                    (2) Demolition is limited to runways. The airfield at PU
            4752 has a mar! Surface and is 9600 feet by 75 feet. The
            airfield at PU 7360 is asphalt and is 1600 -Feet by 100 feet.

                    (3) Destruction will deny a minimum operating strip +or
            -fixed wing aircraft, defined as 700 feet by 50 feet.

                    (4) Vil Corps TAC will coordinate the 176th Engineer
            Group operation with XVIII Airborne Corps and 101st Airborne
            Division (AA).


                    (5) Airfield at PU 4752 is occupied by US forces on its
            perimeter. Airfield at PU 7360 is apparently deserted. Bedouins
            were observed at both sites. Both sites are considered to be
            secure from enemy forces.

                    (6) Report completion of mission to 7th Brigade -fOC, 9-
            9907-31"@/311/318.


            4. SERVICE SUPPORT. No change.
