      SUBJECT: 6-1 SITREP (Medical)



      FOR SITREP


      CLASS-VII.1, As a+ 2 Dec 90, approximately 6C)C) short tons of
      Class VIII supplies are awaiting transportation via ALOC from
      Germanv into the area a+ operation.

      CANA (Convulsant Antidote Nerve Agent) will soon be available
      +or issue to soldiers in theater. However, current information
      suggests insufficient quantities of Army owned stocks will be
      available to issue CANA in accordance with the USCINCCENT Policy
      a+ I per soldier in theater plus 5 per aidman/combat lifesaver.
      Request ARCENT establish priority of issue and allocate
      Quantities for Army Forces based on projected availability of
      CANA stocks.


      F'ATIENT DISCHARGED BAHRAIN: Currently, there are insufficient
      sudoort facilities at the admin support.facilities to house U.S.
      soldiers returning or held overnite from off shore medical
      facilities pending return to the mainland. Soldiers are
      reouired to sleep on Gymnasium floor. Soldiers have even slept
      on picnic tables. Soldiers are charged for food consumed at the
      ASU- Rea'uest support +or soldiers discharged from EAC medical
      facilities.
