  orange to dark orange is acceptable.

           8) Cocoa powder extremely hard; This is due to moisture
  condensation and subsequent drying. The product will dissolve in hot
 Vater and is acc  .eptable.
           c?). Grape beverage drink is moderately coarse; This is due to
  same conditions as described for Cocoa powder. With appropriate mixing,
  the product will go into solution.

       e. All main entree items remain in good condition with no major
  defects reported.

       f. There have been no reported foodborne illinesses related to
  consumption of MREs by U.S. soldiers.

  3. Inspections of MRE's can be coordinated through the 44th Med Bde (LTC
  Dutton, tel # 9-7671-263), ARCENT Forward (LTC Lively, tel #9-7699-587) or
  ARCENT (COL:'Alm, tel   9-7664-441).
