          1. (U) Situation. Current INTSUM.


             (1.1) Mission. Ist ID(M) defends OBJ DENVER, QU5000; and
          c:ondLCtS zone reconnaissance through former zone of Attac:k to
          complete the destruction of Rbandoned enemy equipment.

              (U) E@.ecLition.


               a. (U) Concept of the operation. Operation Overlay.
                      (1) X) Scheme of maneuver. ist ID (M) will establish
          a hasty defense in OBJ DENVER in order to refit and reorganize in
          preparation for continued offensive operations. Concurrently,
          Ist ID (M) will conduct zone reconnaissance through former zones
          of attack. The purpose of the zone reconnaissance is to
          identify, then destroy, enemy military equipment and recover aOy.
          friendly equipment.
                      (2) @Engineers. Brigades are assigned-GS missions
          in support of the Division. Priority missions include the
          construction of a 5000 man EPW cage by 2d BDE, clearance of
          BASRAH road in zone and destruction of IRAQI equipment and
          supplies.

               b. (U) Tasks to subordinate units.


                      (1) (U) Ist BDE.


                           (a)     Occupy OT4805. Clear center zone to the
          Persian Gulf.


                           (b)     Provide 8 (2 -,man) demolition teams to 4th
          BDE for destruction Of Iraqi equipment and supplies in zone-
          Link up with 4 BDE 01800CMAR ?I at OU500050. j'laximum amount of
s is 200 lbs per team. Direct coordination is
          authorized.


                                   Grade the BASRAH road upon completion of
          clearing by brigades.
