                                           OCT 90, 118th MP Co (MAYO) was notified by                            DA FM 2823 (1)
                                           LITTLE (SOG) that there were shots being
                                           fired at the King Fahd Amusement Center and                           NOTIFICATIONS:
                                           an American had been shot. Investigation by                           MPDO (CAMPBELL)
                                           MAYO revealed that at the above time and                              AT 1127 HRS, 28
                                           date,              was standing in the amusement                      OCT 90
                                           center lunch line when he was struck in the
                                           left arm by a stray bullet. The bullet
                                           entered his left shoulder passing to his
                                           left bicep where the bullet lodged. Further
                                           investigation revealed that a Saudi military
                                           unit was conducting range firing
                                           appi-oximatley 2000 meters away from the
                                           amusement center. SCHWARTZ (recreational
                                           center OIC) advised all personnel to seek
                                           cover inside buildings.             SCHWARTZ contacted
                                           the Saudi unit and instructed them to cease
                                           fire.                was transported to the Sth
