          COMMANDER'S UPDATE

          1. MAJOR SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES (LAST WEEK)

               A. MST III moved from KKMC to a location nine miles east of
               Hafr AL Batin with the 410th Evacuation Hospital. This
               group includes CPT Sutton, SFC Barbour, SSG Cowans, SSG
               Debnam, and SGT Leffler. SSG Cowans will provide full time
               food inspection at the Enemy Prisoners of War (EPW) camp in
               that area. The remainder of the group will cover the Host
               Nation (HN) warehouse in Hafr AL Batin.

               B. The 888th Med Det is working at the 1012th GSU and the
               HN Warehouse at KKMC.

               C. Early in the week  LTC Lively and COL Wesson reviewed the
               1012th GSU, the HN Warehouse at KKMC, and the HN warehouse
               at Hafr AL Batin. The MORE unitizing operation was
               reviewed. Mr. Wolf and MR. Masuri were contacted. Unable
               to arrange a meeting with the EPW commander.

               D. on Tuesday 19 Feb 1991, LTC Lively held a class on
               completion of the 2651 form. This class was attended by all
               veterinarians and MSG Bossler from the 422nd, CPT Martin,
               MAJ Shurhammer, and COL Malm.

               E. At the end of the week, Mr. Brandow reviewed operations
               at the 1012th GSU, the HN Warehouse at KKMC, the HN
               Warehouse at Hafr AL Batin and the EPW camp. He was
               accompanied by CPT martin and CPT Montgomery.

               F. vehicle #9 is still down awaiting a part.

               G. Supply has established accounts at CIF and SSSC at KKMC.
               Several parts of DCUs were received. SSSC stocks include
per and paper towels which we do not need.

               H.                       is on emergency leave 20 Feb-6Mar
               1991 due to the death of his uncle.           5 USC 552(b)(6)
               1.                 will be medically evacuated to Germany
               where foot supports will be made. Will return to theater
               ASAP.
