         1. Daily Corps SITREP

              a. Situation. Beginning construction on 16 Tapline Road
         crossing sites when the exact sites are determined by the
         divisions. Still awaiting permission to begin construction on
         Log Base Echo. 642d CSE arrived at Dammam yesterday.

              b.  Operationg/Tng. Major construction projects:

              h. Problems Requiring Corps Assistance:

                  (1)  SSBth EN EN only has one set of CPDs (ICE Packs).
         Items are on  order but no status is available. Request priority
         issue of 550  ICE packs.

                  (2)  BDE needs a workable secure FAX system. We have not
         been able to  make our commercial FAX on a secure line. Working
         with G-6 for  alternatives such as a MSE FAX.


                  (3)  RATT commo with elements in Log Base Echo have been
         unreliable.   Additional support from 93rd Signal Brigade.

                  (4)  Request status of mines especially GEMSS. Our
         battalions have not received them. Lack of engineer Class V
         seriously degrades the ability of Corps to defend its TAAS.
