     147 After Action Report Operations Desert Shield/Storm



     7. Deployment The deployment of Such small EOD units does not
     provide a requirement for a ship or an entire C5 airplane. With
     this we should find support with larger units that have larger
     numbers of personnel and equipment.  These units also have
     higher ranking personnel that can accomplish what a detachment
     commander might not.

     S. Their are many things that went right and some things that
     did not on this operation. Some of the items that went right
     are units completed their mission of disposal or rendering safe
     if need be, Controls passed incidents to the closest unit if
     communication was available, and EDD units were on the ground to
     start the operation. Some items did not go well were units were
     tasked to find their own support and even the units to support
     and controls were not giving guidance to units.
