            14 JAN 9 1:

                 a. LTC Merryman, ARCENT, said she needed the total number
            of CPOGs we were short. Also said that KAJ Gentle, ARCENT G4, was
            the CPOG POC for ARCENT.

                 b. MAJ McNamara called MAJ McCoy, 800th MMC, who did not
            know where the CAMs escorted into country from USAREUR were in Log
            Base Alpha. Suggested we send someone down there to look for
            them. We sent CPT Clark who found the CAMS, batteries
            and many more CDE items.

                 c. Talked to Corps Aviation reference M43 masks for IAD.
            M43s have not been distributed for Apache pilots in the Corps.

                 d. LTC Pfeffer called to tell us the HTH PR&C had been
            increased to 440,000 lbs. This covered the Chem Co UBL as well.

                 e. MAJ Brown, 2d Chem Bn, reported 84th Chem ready to leave
            port but needed lowboy support. They also needed fog oil.

                 f. Reported to LTC Merryman a total Corps shortfall of 4993
            CPOGs based on unit reports.
                 g. Unidentified vial found in 1 Cav sector. Foreign
            Military Intelligence Battalion (FMIB) team took the sample to a
            Navy Lab in Al Jubyal and had it analyzed. Turned out to be
            inside vial from a chem light.

                 h. Contacted I AD, 2 ACR and 3 AD reference having the FMIB
            team come talk to them about chain of custody for chemical or
            biological samples found on the battlefield.

                 i. COL Griffin, 332 Med Bde, reported having 200 kits to
            test for anthrax.


            15 JAN 91:

                 a.  SSG Pocaigue, ARCENT, requested another copy of the Fox
            request because they accidentally shredded the other one.

                 b.  MAJ Davis, 2 ACR, requested clarification on the use of
hemical retaliation.   The OPLAN was ambiguous.   lie was
            told there are no plans to use either.
