            2 JAN 91:
                 a. Corps Chemical Section became operational.

                 b. Received a message from ARCENT reference the CAM
            fielding and training team.

            3 JAN 91:

                 a. MSG Grosvenor, ARCENT, reported 2d Chem Bn would be a
            VII Corps asset along with 181 and 323 Chem Cos (Decon) . FRAGO to
            follow.

                 b. MAJ Davis, 2 ACR, requested a decon plt from 51st Chem
            and a recon plt from I AD to conduct some joint training on 11-15
            JAN.

                 c.   LTC Pfeffer, Rear, called with news that 27 boxes of
            training materials had arrived for Chemical Anti-Convulsant Nerve
            Agent Antidote CANA. The Corps Surgeon prepared a paper on
            CANA distribution.

                 d. LTC Kilgore called to report he would be in the area on 4
            JAN to discuss coordination for the Bn arrival in the Corps
            sector.


            4 JAN 91:

                 a. 69th Chem Co moved to the TAA. No confirmation that they
            had closed.

                 b. CAM distribution proposal written and passed to G3 for
            approval.

                 c. 207th MI requested a Corps Chem rep to attend a meeting on
            5 JAN. Subj: Threat Capabilities.

                 d.   LTC Pfeffer, Rear reported only 2 MSCs had submitted CDE
            reports to G4 as requested (Corps Arty and 93d Sig).      He also
            provided data on the arrival of chom units:     22d Chem, at port
        waiting for equipment; 323d Chem due 10 Jan; and 172d, 46th, 84th
            all due on 7 Jan. lie also passed the CANA NSN: 6505-01-326-3239.
