                A. (UV CORPS OVERVIEW:
                    (1)(UW VII CORPS MAINTAINS SCREEN ALONG DNL AND

            OUTPOSTS ON HIGHWAY 8; CONTROLS THE CENTCOM DIRECTED DEMARCATION

            LINE AND 'IRAQI MILITARY AND CIVILIAN MOVEMENT IN CONTROLLED

            AREAS; PROVIDES HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE; CONTINUES EQUIPMENT

            RECOVERY, EVACUATION AND DESTRUCTION MISSIONS; CONTINUES

            DEVELOPMENT OF RAAIS; PROVIDES ESCORT ASSISTANCE TO ICRC  TEAM IN

            SECTOR; AND CONDUCTS COMBINED ARMS LIVE FIRE TRAINING.

            CORPS RETAINS THE CAPABILITY FORWARD TO CONDUCT OFFENSIVE

            OPERATIONS. MOVEMENT OF CIVILIANS INTO CORPS SECTOR ACROSS THE


            DEMARCATION LINE IS DECLINING. CORPS CONTINUES TO RECEIVE

            REPORTS OF ALLEGED IRAQI MILITARY COMMITTING ATROCITIES AGAINST

            THE LOCAL POPULATION IN THE LOWER EUPHRATES REGION. AERIAL

            SEARCH AND GROUND RECOVERY OPERATIONS OF FRIENDLY EQUIPMENT

            CONTINUES SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH THE IDENTIFICATION AND DESTRUCTION


            OF ENEMY MATERIAL IN VII CORPS SECTOR. CORPS HAS DESTROYED

            (SINCE THE END OF THE GROUND WAR) 2187 COMBAT VEHICLES, 2590

            TACTICAL VEHICLES, 2944 WEAPONS, 613 BUNKERS, 859 AMMUNITION

            DUMPS, 140 ENGINEER VEHICLES, AND I NAVAL VESSEL (GUN BOAT).
