            ALONG HIGHWAY 8 IN THE 1ST AND 2ND BDE SECTORS. THE 3RD BDE


            CONTINUED CALFEX AT THUNDER RANGE WITH 5-18 INF. THE CAB


            CONTINUED THE AERIAL SCREEN OF THE DEMARCATION LINE IN SECTOR.


            THE TOWN OF SAFWAN WAS QUIET TODAY. DIVISION G5 BEGAN

            REGISTERING FAMILIES THAT ARE BONAFIDE RESIDENTS OF SAFWAN IN


            ORDER TO CONTROL THE DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD AND MEDICAL AID. THE


            DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD AND MEDICAL AID FOR SAFWAN HAS BEEN MOVED TO


            SITES SOUTH OF THE TOWN TO FACILITATE CONTROL AND SECURITY. THE


            1ST BDE TEMPORARY REFUGEE CENTER, VICINITY QU 617331, HAS GROWN

            FROM 150 PEOPLE TO 4800 IN THE PAST THREE DAYS. DURING THE PAST


            24 HOURS, DIVISION HAS SENT 508 EPW'S TO THE THEATER CAGE. THERE

            ARE STILL 593 EPWIS IN THE DIVISION HOLDING AREA AS OF 1600C.


            TWELVE S&P'S ARE EXPECTED 28 MAR TO MOVE THOSE EPW'S.- THE


            SILKWORM MISSILES WERE MOVED TO THE DESTRUCTION SITE TODAY.


            DEMOLITION WILL OCCUR 28 MAR IF THE PREVAILING WINDS ALLOW.


            DIVISION IS PREPARED FOR DEFENSE OF NORTHERN KUWAIT, AND

            CONTINUES TO PLAN CIVIL-MILITARY AND REDEPLOYMENT OPERATIONS.

                    (4)(@2ACR. REGIMENT IS SET IN SECTOR AND IS

            CONDUCTING SCREENING AND FORCE PROTECTION OPERATIONS. UNITS ARE


            MANNING CHECK POINTS ALONG HIGH SPEED AVENUES OF APPROACH.


            REFUGEES AND EPW'S CONTINUE FLOWING INTO SECTOR. REGIMENT IS

            PROVIDING HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE AS REQUIRED. EXECUTING MINIMAL

            ENGINEER EFFORT (DRAINAGE DITCH AND TRASH DUMPS) IN REFUGEE CAMP

            TO PRECLUDE DISEASE. PREPARING FOR ON ORDER MISSIONS.
