            E'UPII
What stands out in Sartiano's memory about the people and his
mission on the Euphrates Demarcation Line was "the inability for us
to do the right thing." At times, this was the most frustrating
part of combat. Sartiano remembers providing all the assistance
and support possible for the Iraqi civilian refugees during the
day. "However, everynight at about eight o'clock," said Sartiano,
"the fireworks started, the gunfire started... and the next day the
kids would come up to us and say @my father was killed last night,
my mother was killed last night by the Iraqi soldiers, and that was
frustrating because you could not do any-thing." Sartiano
continues, heatedly, "The Iraqis were a bunch of pussiesl ... One
minute if they'd had the upper hand they'd want to put cigarettes
out in our eyes, but when it is they who are giving up it's @oh
your great, so great' they were a bunch of hypocrites."

            REDEP
One of the toughest things for Ghost troop to deal with was
the loss of SGT Miller, a Bradley gunner who was killed in action.
Sartiano, quietly recalls how his troops reacted to it. "It was an
eye opening experience, up to this point we thought we were
invincible. All of a sudden they hit one of us and Lt. Carver came
over and said, @Hey, SGT Miller's dead.,"

            ISG Vegacruz
            1SGr HHT, 2/2

            DEP
Vegacruz and a majority of his soldiers deployed from Germany
            about 16:30 4 December.

            COMBAT
During the ground war, Vegacruz found himself covering alot of
ground while working with the supply end of HHT's operations.
Besides delivering fuel, he also had a major role in handling
, during combat the
Squadron cooks had the job of transporting EPWS. Vegacruz never
had a problem with dealing with the enemy as far as resistance or
violence. "Their morale was so low that all they wanted to do was
shoot one time and surrender. That was their main goal."
With 10 fuel Hemmets and 10 cargo Hemmets, vegacruz would
drive right up to the front line fighters in order to support
them. On the night of the 26 Feb, Vegacruz and his support trains
has to go right up to the tanks while engaging the enemy. They
were resupplying G, El and Fox troops. The fight was going on 200
m infront of their position while the tanks rotated to be topped
            off.

            CPT Rudd
            2/2 S-4

            DEP
There was no pro-existing movement plan in Europe prior to the
Regiment's deployment, so CPT Rudd and his staff went to Stutgart
to input data on the squadron's equipment and vehicles. 2d
            Squadron would become
