                       1. Issue:


                            There was confusion about the proper expiration date
                       for the nerve antidote kits, MARK 1.


                       2. Discussion:

                            The shelf life on some lots was extended, but the word
                       evidently got out slowly, causing doubt and confusion to
                       remain.


                       3. Recommendation:

                            When changes of this magnitude are made every effort
                       must be made to ensure the information goes to the lowest
                       level, both through medical channels and command channels.
