@tedical Base America. The second element of the 423rd had established Medical
Base America, which was a joint Air Force and Army MASF operation ready to receive
a massive influx of casualties in a moments notice. The unit maintained pace with
the war as our medical personnel performed with impunity. Throughout Operation
De-,rt Shield and Operation Desert Storm, the 423rd Medical Company (Clearing)
continued to provide the highest quality of medical service to soldiers, and
demonstrated total dedication to professionalism. The continual professionalism,
and exceptional performance of duty throughout arduous conditions is of the highest
caliber and reflects great credit upon the officers soldiers of the 423rd, the
XVIII AirbLriie Corps and the United States Army.
