SUBJECT: 4-27 FA Situation Report: 11 FEB - 17 FEB

d.-te" Class V. RSR is set at 60 rockets/launcher/day. There
appears to be inadequate transportation in the Corps to push pods
forward. FSB will carry 108 pods forward, but LogPacks are light.
Some progress is being made on transportation. The battalion
assumed the risk of 4 pods on a HEMAT. So far, no problems although
the torsion bar on a HEMAT broke on the move.

                e. (U) Class VI. No change.

                f. (U) Class VII. No change.

                g. (U) Class VIII. No change.

                h. -K+ Class IX. We have worked ourselves solidly into the
Division Support Command and the lead Brigade FSB. We are also tied
into LTF 87, our Peden support unit. It is apparent to the
battalion that the area support concept, particularly for peculiar
          unit, will not work.

          5. Highlights of the week:

                a. (U) 11 Feb 1991: A steak dinner was served tonight. It was
very good. An M88 engine was picked up today. The move order to FAA
Garcia was issued to the battalion. A botulism vaccine is being
issued to soldiers in 2ACR. This is an experimental vaccine and will
be taken voluntarily. Chpl Zeller is beginning weekly bible studies.
DivArty CPX will begin 12 Feb at 1000 hrs.
b."*t@ 12 Feb 1991: Preparation for move to FAA Garcia began
today. Common use tents and cammo nets were taken down. Sleep tents
were left up. This will be a one latrine one shower move. Magazines
are not to be inserted and there will be no more phone runs.

                c. (U) 13 Feb 1991: Ganuno Globulin vaccine was picked up
today. We were unable to pick up the botulism vaccine. The
quartering party has been placed on stand by. They will go to
DivArty on order. The battalion was given a warning order to prepare
to move tomorrow. MG Griffeth has some issues to be discussed with
          the soldiers:

                       1. Civilian property in Iraq is off limits. Any soldier
caught looting will be court martialed.

                       2. Iraqi soldiers and civilians personnel property is
          off limits.

                       3. Do not take war trophies. Most weapons are boobie
          trapped.
