    FRAGMENTARY ORDER 142 (CHANGE TO TASK ORGANIZATION) TO 3AD OPORD 91-1
    (OPERATION DESERT SPEAR)


    Task Organization: See Annex A (Task Organization).

    1. (U) SITUATION. Current INTSUM.

    2. (U) MISSION. 3AD continues to screen in sector to secure KUWAIT
    from enemy seizure, conduct humanitarian efforts. and destroy enemy
    equipment to include SILKWORM missiles.

    3. (U) EXECUTION.


         a. (U) Coordinating Instructions.
              (Ipkur4 The enclosed task organization is for 3/3AD relief of
    2/3AD on 2 A ril. Task organization is effective 021200C APR 91.

              (2) (U) Prior direct coordination between units effected by
    task organization changes is authorized.
              (3QU)N 2 BDE will conduct a reconnaissance of the ammo site
        ted at QU404547 to determine if it contains chemical or biological
    Onitions. This site is suspected to have contained special munitions
    during the ground war. Soldier safety is paramount. Provide
    reconnaissance results to 03 Operations NLT 301200C MAR 91.

                (a) (U) Maximize the use of FOX vehicle capabilities.

                (b) (U) Personnel entering bunkers suspected of containing
    chemical or biological munitions at the site will, as a minimum, wear
    chemical overgarments with Mg detector paper attached to an arm and a
    leg, chemical booties and chemical protective gloves.

    4. (U) SERVICE SUPPORT. No change.
